Summer Project

The aim of the summer brief was to create 10 pieces of work that reflected on what we did over the summer, With every piece of work relating to each of the given titles.

The above selection of sketch book work is showing initial notes and ideas, as well as the development process before reaching a final outcome. Visually exploring different ideas and experimenting with materials and composition, i was able to evaluate my designs and come to the conclusion of which will work most successfully as a final outcome.

Something that made me happy. - Temple Bar/
Guiness.

Something I wore. - Charm bracelet

Somewhere I found myself - New Grange

Something that scared me - Loftus Hall

Something beautiful.

Something i'm thinking about - The girl with the dragon tattoo.
The above are a selection of my final designs. My aim was to keep the responses very simple and to the point. focus on one aspect in each image, no background distraction. that being said, reflecting back on some of my decisions, i would have perhaps brought more content to each piece. I am aware that there is not a clear running theme throughout the set, which doesn't link them as a series very successfully. from the feedback i was given, the black and white work better together. if spending more time on the project, how to link the images would be further developed.
some I feel are still unfinished - more development for certain ones. - some, the concept could have been explored further.
