Colour, Vaue & Notan - Matt Taylor

After discussing colour palette in todays presentation, i was really drawn to the work of Matt Taylor. His choices of colour seems so well considered. i love his use of shape - details picked up in variations of tone, - I think this way of working is quite fitting with screen print. It will be useful to refer to his work when creating my own pieces - when thinking about slitting up colour, and working in shape.
note;- Particularly the silhouette pieces as i am potentially creating a sunset. - interesting to see just block colour, with a few simple details can be so informative. - e.g. fractions of light, folds in clothing.
