This print was a lot more straight forward than the first. - still repeating much of the same process.
- start off by inking up the board, and printing a light grey background
- once achieved a selection - begin adding colour.
chose a pinky red which i think works really well. - especially fitting with the sunset background.
- leave on face stencil to keep it grey - only sky prints pink.
- for extra dept - add a light black layer on the floor. - breaks up the image - draws your eye.
- problems.
- bits of fluff and pieces of materials kept getting stick on my roller, which would then transfer onto the inked board and leave patches - which you would only see after a couple of reliefs! so the whole process would have to begin again.
liked the different levels - but my favourite is the slightly faded composition - not too strong - creates more texture.
- im not as happy with this as my other two - simply because of the slight smudges around the print. - at least the quality of the print is good its just a shame.
