Window Displays

- There are so many really inspiring window displays out there at the moment! Visually and contextually there is such a broad range of approaches.
- After discussing in our initial meeting, we were all quite interested in exploring the idea of neon lights - think this is something we consider to be very contemporary and relevant at the moment.

- I've gathered a selection of window displays that i am really drawn to. These are very elaborate and complex designs, and beyond anything we could make in time for the deadline - but we can still imagine - its more about concept after all. - aim big!
- these designs are just so attention grabbing and each one tells a story.
- since we talked a lot about lighting - these examples are heavily based on light/illumination.
- they're also wuite fitting with the 'dreamlike' theme that i researched into - it will be interesting to see where that idea could be pushed perhaps?

the colours and materials are so well considered. - i really like how the reflective material is used to enhance the lighting! that could be something to consider.

Lord Whitney

Lord whitney are a collaborative pair of designers, who work creating a lot of display and 3D work. I always find there designs to be ahead of current trends, they cover such a range of mediums and are continuously evolving they're practice.
- Created some really beautiful and captivating displays. - the neon lights one os a great example of where we may consider to go with our design - creating a very bold, contemporary and almost futuristic quality.
- I remember seeing the nation of shopkeepers display for my self a few years back! really lovely. I like the idea of suspending things in the winnow to look as though they're floating. That could even be something thats possible to mock up?
